Emergency Service
Just like humans, our animals can become seriously ill at any time of the day or night, whether it’s the sudden onset of what seems to be a life-threatening problem or the deterioration of a chronic condition.
We understand how distressing this can be, and sometimes, it simply cannot wait until the veterinary surgery is open.
Because of this we offer all our clients an emergency, out-of-hours veterinary service. All you need to do is ring our surgery phone line on 01947 820333 and listen carefully to the recorded message. Note down the three phone numbers, and try each one, in order, until you receive a response. The vet you speak to will discuss your pet’s symptoms and advise you what to do. This might involve bringing your pet to the Beck practice for examination and treatment. The vet will also advise you on the costs of the emergency service.
This emergency service is provided by The Beck Veterinary Practice team and you won’t need to travel any further than our Whitby surgery.

If it’s an out-of-hours emergency, we can still help you and your pet – just call us on 01947 820333 and follow the instructions on the recorded message
Step 2
The vet you speak to will discuss your pet’s symptoms and advise you what to do. This might involve bringing your pet to the Beck practice in Whitby for examination and treatment
Step 3
If your pet needs to remain on one of our wards, we can guarantee they are in safe hands and will receive the best possible care from our experienced team
